SHAREDOC strives to pursue the following objectives:
1. To select, acquire and make available for consultation quality
information material, regardless of format (print, electronic),
that supports study and research.
2. To record, analyse, organize, update and categorize data and
information, as well as offer an online documentation service
for such data and information, which will help enhance
research and policy making processes.
3. To provide technical assistance to individuals, organizations,
government and non-governmental agencies in their quest
for information or in conducting research.
4. To document and disseminate articles, reports and findings
submitted by researchers and scholars through print
publications and online journals.
5. To provide consistent Current Awareness information
Services (CAS) to professionals and service providers on their
areas of interest.
6. To conduct research on specific areas of interest that will
support the goals and missions of Koinonia Community and
related institutions, thus contributing to the social and
economic development of the country by improving the
quality of service (QOS) provided by Koinonia and its affiliate
agencies.
Activities
SHAREDOC carries out the following activities:
1. Commission calls for papers.
2. Commission and undertake research.
3. Hold conferences to discuss research findings.
4. Dissemination of research findings through policy briefs,
internet publication, email, print publications etc.
5. Facilitate students undertaking research at different levels of
training.
6. Seek for funding to support the research and documentation
activities.
7. Link up with other partners – institutions of higher learning,
government agencies, private research organizations as well
as consultancy firms/institutions.
8. Select, acquire, organize and make available information
material to researchers and scholars.
9. Provide online access of information sources to researchers
and scholars.
