ABOUT US
Shalom Research and Documentation Center (SHAREDOC), is a special information center founded under the initiative of Koinonia community, a lay christian community that undertakes various social projects that seek to empower various marginalized groups in society, notably the urban poor, street children, women and young people.

Mission
Our mission  is to conduct and support research and scholarly activities, by acquiring, organizing, maintaining and disseminating information and documentation materials related to peace, justice and human rights, to institutions and individual researchers. In this endeavor, priority is given to issues related to vulnerable children and marginalized urban communities. The geographical area of coverage is East Africa, with particular attention to Kenya.

Vision
To be a center of research and scholarly excellence, where government and non-governmental officials, researchers, and students come together to research on issues relating to East Africa's socio-economic development.
